Our three day Easter Weekend will 'kick off' on

Easter Friday, at 10am,

with our allocated

CTRA titles

 

Then it's 'All Grades' welcome Easter Saturday & Sunday

Saturdays racing will start at 10am &

Sundays racing will start at 10am

with the final conclusion for the weekend been our

inaugural Demolition Derby.

CTRA competitors first.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday - from 8am

NB: your club membership & log book must be available for

viewing by our scrutineers. Plus all safety gear

must meet the officials satisfaction.

ENTRY FEE is $55 per driver/per grade

(this $55 fee applies regardless if you race 1 day or all 3)

plus the normal gate fee per person applies

SO WE KNOW YOU HAVE ARRIVED. YOU ARE ALSO

RESPONSIBLE TO SIGN IN EACH MORNING ON THE

SEPARATE FORMS PROVIDED SO WE KNOW YOUR CAR IS STILL GOING

AND TO PUT YOU IN THE GRID DRAW.

 

NB: THAT IF YOU ARRIVE LATE THEN YOU WILL MISS A PLACE IN THE GRID

& YOU WILL HAVE TO RUN OFF THE BACK - THERE WILL BE NOT EXCEPTIONS.

BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF RACES THAT WE WILL HAVE TO GET THROUGH -

THERE WILL BE NO 2 MINUTES CALLS

WE ARE AN AFFILIATED C.T.R.A. TRACK

THEREFORE ALL VISITING DRIVERS MUST

HAVE ALL THEIR OWN SAFETY EQUIPMENT

(HELMETS, GLOVES, NECK BRACES, OVERALLS,

RACING OR LEATHER BOOTS ARE COMPULSORY),

NB: if your car does not pass our scrutineering or you do not have

ALL your own safety equipment, you will NOT be able to race

(this includes having either window nets or arm braces)

 

ALL PASSENGERS ARE REQUIRED TO PAY A $15

FEE UNLESS ALREADY A MEMBER OF A C.T.R.A.

AFFILIATED TRACK - THIS WILL COVER

EACH  PASSENGER FOR THE WHOLE WEEKEND

& IS FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES.

 

THERE WILL BE SECURITY ON THE GROUNDS ETC... FOR THE WEEKEND.

 

CAMPING IS AVAILABLE IN THE AREA BEHIND

THE PITTS - PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE TOILET FACILITIES,

& DRINKING WATER AVAILABLE. WE ALSO HAVE SHOWER FACILITIES -

THIS IS A GOLD COIN DONATION.

NB: THIS IS A FULL ON WEEKEND - IT IS YOUR

 RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP YOUR VALUABLES LOCKED AWAY

 

WE DO NOT ENCOURAGE ANIMALS AT THE TRACK.

HOWEVER, IF YOU HAVE NO OTHER OPTION THEN YOU ARE  ALOUD TO

BRING YOUR DOG. THEY MUST BE ON A

LEAD & UNDER CONTROL AT ALL TIMES. OWNERS MUST ALSO BRING

DOGGY BAGS TO CLEAN UP AFTER THEIR PETS.

 

CAMPERS ETC -NO OPEN FIRES ARE ALLOWED, BBQ'S ONLY

PLEASE NOTE: IF WE HAVE TO CALL THE FIRE

BRIGADE TO ANY FIRE'S THEN THE OFFENDER

WILL BE PAYING THE CALLOUT FEE TO OUR LOCAL FIRE BRIGADE

 

FOOD WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR

PURCHASE THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND FROM OUR CANTEEN

 

IF YOU'RE NOT CAMPING THEN MAKE SURE YOU BOOK YOUR ACCOMMODATION EARLY

THIS YEAR AS THERE ARE A LOT OF OTHER

EVENTS HAPPENING OVER EASTER  WEEKEND

COMPETITORS ARE REMINDED TO KEEP QUITE DURING THE EVENING

WHILE CAMPING AT THE TRACK AS WE HAVE YOUNG

CHILDREN & FAMILIES STAYING FOR THE WEEKEND,

ANYONE 'RIPPING IT UP' WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE- NO REFUNDS.

BREATH TESTING;  BREATH TESTING WILL

BE DONE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE COMMITTEE.

NO DRUNK DRIVERS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE

TRACK- THIS IS FOR EVERYONE'S OWN SAFETY

 

 SECURITY: WE HAVE ARRANGED SECURITY FOR

THE WEEKEND - PLEASE NOTE THE GATES WILL BE

LOCKED FROM 9PM & NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED

BACK IN UNTIL 7.30AM THE NEXT MORNING

 

NO ALCOHOL TO BE PURCHASED AND

BROUGHT IN FROM OUTSIDE THE CLUB
BAR (IN CLUB ROOMS) WILL OPEN AFTER RACING IS FINISHED

NO ALCOHOL TO BE CONSUMED IN TO PIT AREA.

NO CHILDREN ARE ALLOWED IN THE PIT AREA

OR ANYONE ELSE WILL BE REMOVED)

 

DEMO DERBY RULES:

ALL CARS MUST BE AT THE TRACK NO LATER

THAN 1PM ON SUNDAY - IF YOU ARE LATE YOU WILL

NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER THE EASTER DEMO.

 

THERE IS A FEE TO ENTER THE DEMO (PER DRIVER/CAR)

There MUST be a minimum of 6 cars for the demo to proceed

competitors are permitted to take their battery, chains & the bar from behind the seat of their car.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF THE march/April 2018 DEMOLITION DERBY ENTRY:

 

1. Entry to the Demo is not free

2. All Demo vehicles are to be left at the track after the demo & become the property of Kaikohe Car Club Incorporated to sell or dispose of at the club's discretion.

3. Drivers are allowed to take their battery & roll bars etc from the vehicle once the Demo has finished

 

 

RULES & SPECIFICATIONS FOR DEMOLITION DERBY
KAIKOHE SPEEDWAY

 

MINIMUM VEHICLE SPECIFICATIONS;

DEMOLITION DERBY RULES

1. MINIMUM VEHICLE SPECIFICATIONS:

a. Only standard road cars are eligible.

b. NO modifications or 4WDís.

c. NO reinforcing except in the front doors. front doors must have a minimum of a pipe from the front door to rear door pillar. 100mm below the window opening and be welded in place. NO roll cages. Driverís door may be plated will 3mm steel welded or bolted in place of trim maximum of 300mm high from floor.

d. All glass, lights, tail lights, exterior mirrors etc and interior trim to be removed from vehicle. ALL vehicles must be stripped at home prior to them entering Speedway Grounds or surrounding area. Interior mirror and dash may be left in.

e. ALL flammable materials must be completely removed, carpets, door linings, roof lining etc) dash board & driverís seat may remain in place.

f. Drivers door to be securely chained welded or bolted.

g. Drivers must be fully restrained by the cars standard seat belt (Race Seat and 5 point harness recommended)

h. ALL cars are to be fuelled up in front of the promoterís Scrutineerís.

i. ONLY 10 litres of petrol to be carried in the vehicles tank

j. All cars to be fitted with roll bar constructed from a minimum of 38mm diameter pipe or RHS, to extend from the floor immediately behind the driverís seat to the roof. A 300mm x 300mm x 6mm plate must be welded to each end of the roll bar. These must be bolted through the roof and floor. Matching plates on outside of car bolted in place with a minimum of two 10mm grade 8 bolts with lock nuts. A head rest must be mounted on bar if no headrest fitted to seat.

K. NO locked or limited slipped differentials are permitted.

l. Drivers door & front passenger door is to be painted white.

m. Number will be issued by the Track Scrutineer(s) at the time of registration or scrutineering.

n. Batteries must be securely tied down.

o. NO tow bars, NO tow bar necks.

p. Radiators must be left in place, but the fan may be removed if you choose.

q. All Airbags must be removed.

 

2. RACING RULES AND CONDITIONS

a. All vehicles are to be scrutineered and MUST comply with the above. Failure to comply will see the vehicle & driver struck from this event.

b. ABSOLUTELY NO PASSENGERS.

c. ANY driver caught deliberately hitting or ramming the driverís door of another vehicle will be disqualified.

d. Drivers MUST REMAIN in their vehicles at ALL times (even when stationary), for your own safetyóunless instructed otherwise by Promoters Safety personal.

e. When the RED flag is shown on a car then that car is stationary it is not to be hit.

f. Vehicles can go both ways around the track.

g. Vehicles MUST NOT enter the In-field unless they are in-need of help or out of the demo.

h. During the course of the event Competitors must hit an opponentís (other competitorís) vehicle every 60 seconds or they will be disqualified from the event.

i. No competitor shall be allowed outside his/her car to effect mechanical repairs after the commencement of the Derby.

j. Seat Belts are to remain on at ALL times during the Demo Derby.

k. ALL decisions made by the track officials will be final & binding. The decision on prizes will be decided by the Speedway officials. Their decision is final and NO negotiations will be entered into.

l. The promoter reserves the right to re-scrutineer.

m. ALL drivers MUST supply & wear to the promoterís satisfaction;

their own crash helmet with visor fitted or safety goggle NO sunglasses etc

Fire resistant over-alls i.e. 100% cotton.

Neck brace

Fire Resistant gloves i.e. 100% cotton, leather etc.

Boots or covered shoes must be worn with long woollen socks (no Nylon), no; gumboots, or open footwear allowed.

3. LICENCE SPECIFICATIONS;

a. All Competitors must be familiar with Demo Derby Rules.

b. All competitors, who enter the Demo Derby Event, do so at their own risk.

c. All competitors must sign an approved indemnity form (in front of a promoter or delegate of the event) absolving the promoter & other competitors and the Circle Track Racing Association of any liability which may arise as a result of a novelty type competition.

e. Competitors must be minimum age of 16 years of age to compete in this event. Promoter may request proof of age.

f. A parent or Legal guardian must certify the indemnity form if the Driver is 16, 17 or 18

years of age.
