RACE MEET 5th NOVEMBER 2006

5th 0f November 2006 race meet

There was a good turn out of cars & drivers at the speedway for Race Day. Which proved a good field for racing. The new clay surface held up well and became very fast as the day progressed. A few drivers are still adjusting their cars to suit the new surface.

There was a few minor incidences during the day with car 70K Anthony Thomas
clipping Dave Cortesi & Daryl Jay in the “10 lap dash”, Hine Thompson 49k scraping the back straight wall in the “Ladies Production”, Pene Hohepa broke his drive shaft in his Subaru 52k. The Juniors race saw Erin Watkins 20k  roll his car on cemetery bend.

But all in all in was a great day racing for both participants and spectators. Kaikohe Speedway hopes to see everyone at the Demolition Derby 19th November 2006.
